About Us

About the Montgomery County Democratic Committee

The Montgomery County Democratic Committee is the local organization of the Democratic Party in Montgomery County, New York. We are neighbors, volunteers, organizers, and community members committed to building a county where every resident is heard, respected, and represented.

Our purpose is simple: to strengthen our communities, support Democratic candidates and values, and encourage civic participation at every level of government.

We believe government works best when it is transparent, accessible, and accountable to the people it serves. From village boards and town councils to state and federal offices, we help recruit, support, and elect leaders who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone in Montgomery County.

What We Do

Support Local Candidates
We identify and support candidates who share Democratic values fairness, opportunity, responsible government, and equal rights. We provide resources, training, and grassroots organizing to help them run successful campaigns.

Engage the Community
We host monthly meetings, educational forums, volunteer events, and community conversations. Our goal is to make local government approachable and to give residents a voice in the decisions that affect their daily lives.

Promote Civic Participation
Voting is only one part of democracy. We encourage residents to stay informed, attend meetings, serve on local boards, volunteer, and advocate for issues they care about. Whether you are new to politics or have been involved for years, there is a place for you here.

Register and Educate Voters
We assist with voter registration, share election information, and help residents understand how local government works. An informed electorate is the foundation of a healthy democracy.
